The Council on Aging of Southwestern Ohio (COA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for older adults, people with disabilities, their families, and caregivers. With the promotion of choice, independence, dignity, and well-being through a range of services, COA helps people remain in their homes for as long as possible.

HOPE for Children and Families

HOPE for Children and Families is a program of Mental Health Access Point, a division of Central Clinic. HOPE is a multi-system collaboration between Hamilton County Mental Health and Recovery Services Board, Hamilton County Job and Family Services Children's Services Division, Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services, and Hamilton County Juvenile Court. HOPE is responsible for the referral, connection, monitoring, and coordination of services for children and families who are involved in two or more county systems.


Miracle Health Agency will work with your HOPE Care Coordinator to provide the services you or your child need.

Department of Developmental Disabilities

Offering support across the lifespan of people with developmental disabilities, the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities oversees a statewide system of supportive services that focus on ensuring health and safety, supporting access to community participation, and increasing opportunities for meaningful employment.


Miracle Health Agency will work with the individual, their families, and their Service and Support Administrator (SSA) to provide properly trained Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to meet the individual's needs.

Area Agency on Aging

Ohio’s Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) respond to the needs of older adults as advocates, planners, and funders. AAAs provide education, information, and referral services. AAAs work with the public and private sectors to help older adults with home and community-based long-term care.


Ohio has 12 AAAs that cumulatively represent all 88 counties. There are 670 AAAs nationwide. Ohio AAAs are designated by the Ohio Department of Aging. Sometimes they are referred to as PSAs, or Planning and Service Areas.
